Here at Robert Gordon Pottery, we both import and manufacture pottery. We begun importing our designs around 20 years ago. Each imported collection is first designed and developed on site at our Pakenham headquarters. In addition to this, we are still Australia's largest production pottery. We make some 300,000+ pieces out of Pakenham, employing 35 locals to do so. Our imported collections and Australian made collections work in harmony together - we could not have one without the other.

We recommend your lights for internal use. The Oyster Sconce, Dish Sconce, Bowl Sconce and Pearl Sconce are IP44 Rated and are certified for covered outdoor use. Please check the IP Rating in the specification sheet provided to see if the light is suitable for outside.
Yes, individual colour chips of our glaze and clay finishes can be purchased online, as well as a full box set.
Our basins are made from high fired stoneware, fired at 1180c. They are designed to last a lifetime and are fully vitrified. Stoneware is known for its durability and resistance to chipping, scratching, and staining. If properly cared for, ceramic basins can maintain their appearance for many years.
The non-porous surface of our ceramic basins makes them easy to clean and maintain. Cleaning with mild soapy water is usually sufficient to keep them looking pristine. Unlike concrete, which requires regular maintenance with wax product every few months, take comfort in knowing that our ceramic basins don't need any additional care. For a quick and easy clean, all you need is a soft cloth or sponge and mild detergent.

All of our pottery classes are conducted in a new studio space at our Pakenham factory, as well as our ever popular 'Paint your own pottery' workshop.

Our pottery classes are suited for students 16 years and older. Because the pieces are quite elaborate, the workshops are ideal for adults. In the future, we hope to introduce childrens classes into the mix.

children, adults, aged care, disability groups, families - anyone can get
creative with us.
