2 HOUR CLASS
LOCATION: 114 Mulcahy Rd, Pakenham 3810

10:00 Friday
9:00am Saturday
2:00pm Sunday


Come and try your hand at wheel throwing, learn techniques from an
experienced potter that will get you started into the pottery world. This class is
designed for the beginner, to show you how to centre the clay and make
basic wheel thrown shapes. You will have plenty of time to practice on the
wheel, making approximately 2 pottery pieces. This class is designed
to be a quick introduction into pottery if you are interested you will be able
to join our 6-week Beginner classes with confidence.

BOOKING ESSENTIAL +

Max 8 People Per Class. A minimum of 4 students is required for the class to go ahead. Students who have already booked will be notified via email if the workshop is cancelled.


To receive a full refund, 72 hours notice is required for changes/cancellations.


Suitable for ages 16 years and over

ARE INCLUDED IN THE PRICE. BISQUE FIRING AND DRYING OF POTS TAKES APPROXIMATELY 3 WEEKS.

- Notebook and pen
- Towel
- Non Slip Shoes
- Drink Bottle (optional)
** Short fingernails recommended

Just a little note:

Here at RGP workshop we try our best to look after your pottery creations. We will treat them with the utmost care. However, accidents and breakages can happen along the way. Unfortunately, this is the nature of pottery. In addition to handling, other factory may cause damage. For example, cracks can occur due to thin or overworked clay, or breakages due to very thick clay. We will try our best to make sure your piece does survive its journey, however please note that there are risks involved. 


OHS: +

- Wear close toed & non slip shoes for each class

- Keep long hair tied back when using pottery equipment

- Do not enter factory without teacher supervision

- Any spills or clay on the floor must be attended to

- Do not touch the work of others, as these are fragile pieces

- We advise that jewellery be kept to a minimum or removed for safety and ease

- Short fingernails are recommended for hand-building and wheel throwing

- Loose fitting clothing is not recommended for wheel throwing classes
